Game Rules
These rules keep ForgottenL fair and fun. They apply to the game, the website and the forum, and they are part of the Terms of Service. Not knowing a rule is not an excuse. The staff may sanction behaviour that is clearly against the spirit of the rules even if it is not listed.
1. Respect
- Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination or targeted insults.
- No sexual, illegal or offensive content in character names, chat, guild names, forum posts or avatars.
- Do not impersonate staff or other players.
2. Fair play
- No cheating: no bots, macros or third-party programs that give an unfair advantage, and no modified clients that change gameplay.
- No bug abuse. If you find a bug or exploit, report it to the staff at once. Using it, or sharing it, is punishable and the gains will be removed.
- Do not attack, scan or try to overload the server or the website.
3. Accounts
- Keep your account secure and never share your password. The staff will never ask for it.
- Selling, buying, trading or lending accounts, characters, items or points for real money is forbidden.
- Do not use another person’s account, and do not create accounts to evade a ban.
4. Chat and advertising
- No spam, flooding or advertising of other servers, websites or services.
- Keep the main channels in English unless a channel is dedicated to another language.
5. Staff and sanctions
- Follow the instructions of the staff. Their decisions are final; you may appeal calmly through the contact in the Terms.
- Sanctions depend on the severity and may include a warning, mute, temporary ban, permanent ban, removal of items, levels or points, or deletion of the account.
- Staff may inspect logs to investigate rule violations.
6. Resets and changes
The game is a hobby project and may be changed, rebalanced, reset or wiped at any time. See the Donation Terms for what happens to donation points.
